Houselle

Privacy that stays close to home.

Houselle is a local-first maintenance companion. This policy explains what stays on your device and when a system service is involved.

Last updated September 12, 2026

The short version

Houselle is designed to keep your home-maintenance information on your device. Oak & Finch Interactive does not operate a Houselle account system, does not receive your home records, and does not sell or use them for advertising.

Information stored on your device

Houselle stores the information you add to build and manage your home plan, including your home profile, rooms, systems, equipment, maintenance tasks, completion history, notes, documents, warranties, service providers, and reminder preferences. This information is stored locally on your device so the app can work offline.

If you export a report or share a document, you choose the destination using your device's sharing controls. Houselle does not send an export to Oak & Finch Interactive.

Weather and location

If you enter a postal code and country, Houselle uses Apple's location and weather services to find local conditions. You can choose a climate instead. Apple's location services use the postal code and country to find a location, which Houselle uses to request weather from WeatherKit. This weather flow does not send your postal code, country, or resulting location to Oak & Finch Interactive.

Camera and notifications

Houselle asks for camera access only when you choose to scan an appliance label. It asks for notification permission only when you choose reminders. Photos and reminders are handled on your device unless you deliberately share them through iOS.

Analytics and third parties

The released app does not include advertising, third-party tracking, or an active analytics service. Apple may process information when providing WeatherKit and system services under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

Your choices

You can change reminder settings, remove home records, export your information, or delete the app and its local data. You can also revoke camera or notification permission in iOS Settings.
