LotSlate records livestock sale results on your iPad or iPhone. No internet connection or account is required for recordkeeping.
Start a sale
Create an event, then import exhibitors, buyers, and lots in that order. Import weights, sale order, or premiums as needed. CSV templates are available from the import screen. Review the Records preflight warnings before starting.
Record and correct a bid
Choose a lot, enter its winning bid, select the buyer or split group, and add premiums. Review the amount before confirming the close. A closed receipt cannot be overwritten. Use Reconcile → Correct to record a correction with a reason and a different countersigner.
Back up your records
Use Settings → Export / back up this sale to save the JSON backup somewhere outside the app. CSV and PDF are useful outputs; JSON is the complete restorable ledger. Make a backup after preparation, during longer sales, and after closeout.
Restore a backup
Choose Restore backup from the welcome screen or Restore JSON backup in Settings. Select the exported JSON file. If the same sale is already on the device, LotSlate rejects a duplicate restore. Export the current record before deleting it if you intend to replace it with a backup. If LotSlate reports an unreadable ledger, keep the original files and use Restore a verified JSON backup on the recovery screen. The damaged ledger is preserved locally for recovery.
Open a buyer/exhibitor slip or closeout PDF and choose Print. AirPrint requires a compatible printer reachable from your device. You can also share the PDF to another app for printing.
Limits
Amounts use U.S. dollars and weights use pounds. LotSlate does not collect payments or run an online auction. Clerk names are entered attestations, not authenticated identities. Exported copies are under your control. Keep sufficient device storage available for recovery snapshots.
Purchase and reinstall
LotSlate is a one-time paid App Store download. All app features are included; there are no subscriptions, per-event fees, or in-app purchases. To reinstall, use the Apple Account that purchased the app. Export your JSON backup before deleting the app; downloading the app again does not recreate local sale records. Apple handles billing and refund requests.
