Set up your first day
BellLoom opens with a clean welcome screen. Choose Set up my first day, enter the school and assignment date, then import plans or build a manual schedule. Review times and tasks before Start day. Your school profile is saved when the real day starts. Returning users open their active real day directly.
Try an optional sample
Choose Try a sample day to explore the fictional Maple Ridge schedule. Complete a task, add a quick note, and open the teacher handoff. Next bell advances the sample clock. Exit sample returns to your own workspace. Sample changes are temporary: they do not create a school profile or retained assignment, use your allowance, or schedule real alerts.
Import and review plans
Use + to scan paper plans or import a PDF, image, or UTF-8 text file. Imports support up to 20 pages and 30 MB. Clear, explicit time ranges such as 9:10 AM - 10:00 AM work best. Expand each extracted period, correct its times and tasks, and confirm your review before starting. Add periods manually when a layout is not recognized.
Check the school time zone
Set the school's time zone and confirm each period against the school's bell schedule. The app uses the assignment's school time zone. School profiles can retain building logistics and bell timings independently of classroom notes.
Use bells and alerts
Open the day menu → Settings & privacy to enable transition alerts or show the current real period on the Lock Screen. Allow notifications and Live Activities in device Settings. Focus and device settings can affect delivery. Reopen BellLoom at the next bell to refresh its Live Activity. Use the school clock and procedures as your authority.
Prepare the teacher handoff
Open the handoff from the day screen. Choose which notes to include and edit or redact the preview before sharing PDF or text, copying, or printing. Original source pages are not attached. Share through a school-approved destination. Shared copies are outside BellLoom's retention controls.
Purchase or restore Pro
Three real assignment days per calendar month are free. Open the day menu → BellLoom Pro for the optional $29.99 USD lifetime purchase. Prices vary by country; Apple shows your local price before confirmation. Restore purchases uses the Apple Account that bought Pro. If a purchase is unavailable, check your connection and App Store account, then tap Retry App Store. Deleting days does not reset the monthly allowance.
Retention and deletion
At the end of the day, choose how long to keep it or delete it. Expired days are removed when you next open BellLoom. Settings & privacy can delete all classroom days; school profiles and the monthly allowance remain. Delete school profiles separately from School profiles. App data is excluded from device backup and is not synchronized, so export a handoff you need to retain before deletion or changing devices.
App lock
Optional Face ID or device-passcode authentication is available in Settings & privacy. Configure device authentication first. BellLoom uses Apple's authentication prompt and does not receive your biometric data or passcode.
